The short version
Apt Words is designed to work without an account, advertising, or analytics. The vocabulary library is bundled with the app, and your learning data stays in the app’s local storage on your device.
Data handled by the iOS app
Apt Words stores your favorites, learned words, viewing history, custom collections, user-added words, practice schedules, progress, daily goal, and notification preferences locally on your device. Apt Words does not require an account and does not send this learning data to the developer.
Pronunciation uses Apple’s on-device speech technologies. Sharing uses the standard iOS share sheet, and the destination you choose may process the shared content under its own privacy policy. Daily reminders use Apple’s local notification system.
This website
This website is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel may process technical request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamps to deliver and protect the service. Apt Words does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics on this website.
Support requests
The support form prepares a public GitHub issue. The form does not send its contents to this website or store them on our servers. If you continue to GitHub and publish the issue, GitHub processes the information under its own terms and privacy policy. Do not include personal, confidential, or sensitive information in a public support request.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit or remove favorites, collections, custom words, notification settings, and other learning data inside Apt Words. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data, subject to any device or cloud backups controlled through your Apple account.
You can turn notifications off at any time in Apt Words or in iOS Settings.
Children
Apt Words does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app has no account or developer-operated data collection, it does not ask a child to provide personal information.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Apt Words’ features or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
