These Terms of Use govern your use of the Apt Words iOS application and this website. By using Apt Words, you agree to these terms and Apple’s applicable App Store terms.
Educational purpose
Apt Words is a vocabulary learning and reference tool. Definitions, pronunciations, examples, origins, and related words are provided for general educational use. They may not cover every meaning, regional use, or specialist context.
Limited license
Subject to these terms, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use Apt Words on devices you own or control as permitted by the App Store’s usage rules.
Content and intellectual property
Apt Words’ interface, illustrations, branding, and original product content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The bundled lexical data includes material derived from separately licensed sources; applicable notices are included with the application.
You retain responsibility for words, definitions, examples, and other content you add to Apt Words.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse Apt Words, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass platform security, redistribute the application in violation of law, or use the support channel to publish illegal, abusive, confidential, or infringing material.
Updates and availability
Apt Words may change as the product improves. Features may be added, revised, or discontinued, and continued compatibility may require current versions of iOS.
Disclaimers and limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apt Words is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, complete accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. The developer is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages arising from use of Apt Words.
Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The effective date identifies the latest version.
