Agreement
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Apt Words iOS application and this website. By using Apt Words, you agree to these terms and Apple’s applicable App Store terms, including Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.
Educational purpose
Apt Words is a vocabulary learning and reference tool. Definitions, pronunciations, examples, origins, and related words are provided for general educational use. They may not cover every meaning, regional use, or specialist context.
Limited license
Subject to these terms, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use Apt Words on devices you own or control as permitted by the App Store’s usage rules.
Subscriptions and billing
Apt Words offers auto-renewable subscriptions and a lifetime purchase. Available plans, duration, trial eligibility, and local price are displayed in the app before you confirm a purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store.
A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings and restore eligible purchases from the in-app paywall. Apple handles billing disputes and refund requests under its applicable policies.
The lifetime option is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks the features described on the purchase screen for the lifetime of the app. It does not renew automatically.
Content and intellectual property
Apt Words’ interface, illustrations, branding, and original product content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The bundled lexical data includes material derived from separately licensed sources; applicable notices are included with the application.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse Apt Words, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass platform security, redistribute the application in violation of law, or use the support channel to send illegal, abusive, confidential, or infringing material.
Updates and availability
Apt Words may change as the product improves. Features may be added, revised, or discontinued, and continued compatibility may require current versions of iOS.
Disclaimers and limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apt Words is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, complete accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. The developer is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages arising from use of Apt Words.
Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The effective date identifies the latest version.
